What is TeamSystem and which group software is used in Spain

·

If in recent years you have searched for invoicing, accounting or payroll software for your business or firm, you have probably come across names like Factusol, Contasol, Nominasol, Aplifisa or Billin. What you may not have known is that all of them belong to the same group: TeamSystem. In this article we explain what TeamSystem is, how it has built its presence in Spain through nine acquisitions since 2021, which products it operates in our market, and what that means for you as a user or prospective customer.

What is TeamSystem: Italy's management software giant

TeamSystem S.p.A. was founded in Italy in 1979. Today it is the largest Italian management software group for SMEs and one of the leading players in southern Europe. In the 2025 financial year it reported revenues of around 1,150 million euros and has more than 3.1 million active customers across its entire portfolio. Its business model combines cloud software with local support and a network of specialist partners that ensure implementation, data migration and ongoing support.

TeamSystem's growth strategy is based on acquiring local niche leaders — companies with a consolidated customer base, mature product and deep knowledge of the local fiscal and employment framework — rather than building from scratch. That pattern perfectly explains its entry into Spain.

TeamSystem's expansion in Spain: nine acquisitions in five years

TeamSystem arrived in Spain in February 2021 with an investment that has exceeded 180 million euros. Rather than competing head-on from day one with the market's major players (Wolters Kluwer, Sage, Holded), it chose to integrate brands already well established among Spanish SMEs and accounting firms. The result is a portfolio of nine companies acquired between 2021 and 2026:

YearAcquired companyHeadquartersProduct / speciality
Feb 2021Software del Sol (DELSOL)Mengíbar, JaénFactusol, Contasol, Nominasol, Tpvsol

Sep 2025Quipu (via Sellsy)BarcelonaInvoicing and pre-accounting; ~14,000 customers
Jan 2026AIG ClassicVigoClassicGes + ClassicConta; more than 34,000 customers

This trajectory makes TeamSystem the management software group with the largest number of active brands in Spain, with an accumulated user base that comfortably exceeds 50,000 businesses and firms.

The TeamSystem products most widely used in Spain

For an SME, a freelancer or an accounting firm, what matters is not the corporate structure but which software they use day to day. Below we review the main products that TeamSystem operates in Spain through its DELSOL division and Aplifisa.

Factusol: invoicing and stock control

Factusol is DELSOL's invoicing and commercial management programme, designed for freelancers, micro-businesses and SMEs in the trade sector. It allows you to issue invoices, manage purchases and sales, control stock and generate standard commercial documents. It is not an accounting programme: to keep the general ledger or submit tax returns you need Contasol (or an accountant who uses it). It is available as a desktop version and in the cloud. Its cloud plans range roughly from around 19 to 82 euros per month depending on features, although the official and up-to-date prices are published by the manufacturer on their website.

A critical point for 2027: Factusol already supports Verifactu, the invoicing records verification system established by Royal Decree 1007/2023. Verifactu compliance is activated through the manufacturer's responsible declaration; there is no list of «approved software» or a stamp from the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) certifying it.

Contasol: professional accounting for SMEs and firms

Contasol covers the entire accounting cycle: journal entries, annual accounts, VAT and personal income tax returns, corporate income tax and, for those obliged to use it, the SII (Immediate Information Supply). It is the reference programme for accounting firms managing their clients' accounts, as well as for SMEs that handle their own accounting in-house. It offers a free version with functionality limited to one user, and paid plans ranging from an annual desktop licence to per-user-per-month cloud options.

Nominasol: payroll and Social Security

Nominasol is DELSOL's payroll, social security, employment contracts and income tax withholding management solution. It integrates with the official Social Security systems (NS Conect@ and SILTRA) and covers the most common collective agreements. It is the natural complement to Contasol for payroll firms. Important: it only works in Windows environments.

DELSOL 360: the integrated cloud suite

DELSOL 360 brings together Factusol, Contasol and Nominasol in a unified cloud platform, eliminating the need to export and import data between programmes. It is TeamSystem's proposition for SMEs that want to close the full cycle (invoicing → accounting → payroll) without friction.

Billin: lightweight invoicing for freelancers

Billin is the simplest option in the ecosystem: a web application aimed at freelancers and micro-businesses that need to issue invoices quickly, track basic income and expenses, and adapt to Verifactu without complex configurations. Its entry-level plans are roughly around 6–7 euros per month.

Aplifisa: the suite for professional firms

Aplifisa (Salamanca, 1983) is the most vertical product in TeamSystem's Spanish portfolio. It is designed exclusively for professional firms — tax, payroll and accounting advisors — and is estimated to hold a market share of around 10 % in this segment. Its catalogue includes the Fiscal Suite (personal income tax, corporate tax, VAT), the Payroll Suite (salaries, Social Security, SEPE, tax forms), Accounting with SII, FactuGes (invoicing with Verifactu), ApliScan (document OCR), firm management, employee portal, property management and a GDPR module. With approximately 5,000 firm clients, Aplifisa has been a proven reference in this sector since 1983.

Distrito K: ERP for distribution and manufacturing

Distrito K covers the most complex end of the spectrum: distribution companies, wholesale traders and manufacturers that need to manage multiple warehouses, delivery routes, lot traceability and production processes. It is the ERP with which TeamSystem competes directly against Sage 200 or Microsoft Dynamics in this segment.

Verifactu and electronic invoicing: what you need to know now

One of the most frequently asked topics among DELSOL and Aplifisa software users is the adaptation to new fiscal obligations. Here is a clear summary:

If you use any of these programmes and have questions about the steps to take before 2027, at Summum Sistemas, as Official TeamSystem Partner, we will guide you through the review and migration.

Why so many SMEs and firms use DELSOL software

For years, Factusol, Contasol and Nominasol were free for an unlimited number of companies. That made them the de facto standard in thousands of small and medium-sized accounting firms across Spain. When TeamSystem acquired them in 2021, it gradually began the transition to subscription models. For many users this has meant a paradigm shift: from a programme that was always there, downloadable at no cost, to a monthly or annual subscription giving access to updates and support.

The question many ask is whether it is worth staying or whether it is time to consider alternatives. There is no single answer: it depends on the volume of companies managed, whether you need accounting or just invoicing, and the level of support required. What is certain is that anyone who has spent years with Contasol or Factusol has their templates, their journal entry processes and their methodology deeply embedded in those programmes; migrating has a real learning cost that is worth calculating before deciding.

Summum Sistemas' role as Official TeamSystem Partner

At Summum Sistemas we have been implementing management software solutions in SMEs and organisations in Castilla y León and the Canary Islands since 2007. As Official TeamSystem Partner, we help businesses and accounting firms get the most out of the DELSOL and Aplifisa portfolio: from initial configuration to historical data migration, integration with other systems (ERP, CRM, e-commerce) and team training.

The three scenarios in which clients most often call us are:

  1. Implementation from scratch: companies that have never had structured invoicing or accounting software and want to start with best practices.
  2. Migration from another system: firms moving from ContaPlus or Sage 50 to Contasol, or SMEs that used a legacy ERP and need to move years of data without losing the historical record.
  3. Verifactu adaptation: review of the current configuration, activation of the Verifactu module, testing with the AEAT environment and support through to the system being operational and validated ahead of the 2027 deadlines.

You can see the details of our implementation and support service on the TeamSystem page at Summum Sistemas.

Frequently asked questions

Are TeamSystem and DELSOL the same company?

Not exactly. Software del Sol (DELSOL) is a Spanish company based in Mengíbar (Jaén) that TeamSystem acquired in February 2021. The products — Factusol, Contasol, Nominasol, Tpvsol — continue to be marketed under the DELSOL brand but are part of the TeamSystem group. For the end user, the practical difference is minimal: the software remains the same, with updates and support from the original manufacturer, now under the umbrella of a group with greater R&D investment capacity.

Does Factusol include accounting?

No. Factusol is an invoicing and stock control programme, not an accounting one. To keep official accounts (general ledger, tax forms, annual accounts) you need Contasol. Both can be used as complements: Factusol generates invoices and stock movements and exports the accounting entries to Contasol. The DELSOL 360 suite integrates both in the cloud without the need for manual exports.

When does Verifactu become mandatory for my company?

According to the timetable established by Royal Decree-Law 15/2025, legal entities (limited liability companies, public limited companies, etc.) must have their software adapted to Verifactu by 1 January 2027. Freelancers have until 1 July 2027. If your company is already on the SII (mandatory above 6 million euros in annual turnover), you do not need to activate Verifactu: both systems are mutually exclusive by legal definition.

Is Aplifisa suitable for a small accounting firm?

Aplifisa is designed specifically for professional firms, both large and small. A firm with one or two advisors can benefit from the Fiscal Suite to handle income tax and corporate tax returns and the Payroll Suite for its clients' payrolls, without having to contract the full portfolio. The licence model allows the subscription to be tailored to the firm's actual volume. With around 5,000 firm clients in Spain, Aplifisa has a proven track record in this segment since 1983.
